About

Harry Calhoun has so far survived three broken ribs and three marriages, the latest by far the best and still active. He has endured countless jobs, written a ton of articles and other works and had a few dozen books and chapbooks of poetry published. He has had two seizures and sometimes has a drink or two.

He has had work published at odd poetry whistlestops for the past 30 years, including his latest chapbook, The Insomnia Poems, as well as the books and chapbooks The Black Dog and the Road, Something Real, Near daybreak, with a nod to Frost and Retreating Aggressively into the Dark. Recently, he has had two Pushcart nominations, a Sundress Best of the Net nomination and publications in Chiron Review, Abbey, Orange Room Review, Gutter Eloquence and others.

While not born in the Southern USA, Harry believes that he embodies the immortal words of Tom Petty: “With one foot in the grave, and one foot on the pedal, I was born a rebel.” Hey hey hey.
