On Tuesday, April 13, 2010, Harry will be reading with fellow poet and long-time small-press publisher and friend Tim Peeler in Hickory, North Carolina. The reading is part of the Poetry Hickory series sponsored by poet Scott Owens and takes place at the Taste Full Beans coffeeshop. Taste Full Beans and Main Street Rag publishing company co-sponsor the readings, which begin at 6:30 and end at 8:30. A 30-minute open mike session precedes the poetry of Calhoun and Peeler. More information, directions and videos of previous readings are available at the Web site. I'll be posting new events and signings as the dates become available.
Your poetry is so real and easy to relate to. I don't know how anyone could read your work and still say "I don't get poetry." -- Shirley Allard, editor, Word Catalyst |
